More than 60 organizations will be looking for new employees at the Governor's Job Fair in Meridian on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - More than 60 organizations will be looking for new employees at the Governor's Job Fair in Meridian on Tuesday.

It’s one of several job fairs happening across the state as a way to tackle unemployment and encourage people to make a better life for themselves.

It's happening at the Tommy Dulaney center from 9 a.m. until 1p.m. Among those looking for candidates are Rush Hospital, Iqor, and Love’s Travel Stops. Director of the Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi, Adam Todd, says there's something for everyone.

"Hopefully we have an eclectic group of employers, so that anyone who walks in to the job fair can walk out with an opportunity to go to work. That is what we've strived to do and I believe we've really hit the nail on the head here," Todd said.

WTOK-TV are proud sponsors of the job fair and will be at the event Tuesday. To see a full list of employers attending, visit jobfairs.ms.gov
